BEE HEALTHY MEDICAL WEIGHT LOSS

FAQs

  • 1. What is phentermine?

Phentermine (generic name for Adipex) is an appetite suppressant approved by the FDA. Phentermine will provide an extra amount of energy along with suppressing your appetite in between meals and late at night. Phentermine is not a “magic pill” but rather an option to utilize when changing your eating behavior and/or lifestyle.

  • 2. What is B12/LIPO?

B12 is an essential vitamin that helps create and boost your energy. Lipo (short for lipotropic) is a combination of three amino acids (choline, inositol, and methionine) that are the most effective in removing fat via the liver metabolism process. These ingredients are combined in one injection and can be taken every 5-7 days. This injection can be taken with an appetite suppressant to assist with increased metabolism and weight loss.

  • 3. How long does an injection take, and do I need an appointment?

Injection-only visits do not need an appointment. We strive to have your injection visit last approximately 5-15 minutes depending on the patient load of the clinic.

  • 4. Do I need an appointment for an office visit and how long does it take?

We do take walk-ins but highly recommend scheduling an appointment for office visits. Office visits take 45-60 minutes on your first visit. Completing your initial new patient paperwork prior to your first visit will expedite your appointment. Follow-up office visits with appointments take approximately 25-40 minutes.

  • 5. How much does the program cost?

Program fees can vary for each individual. For specific pricing, call the location in your area.

  • 6. Do I have to be overweight to participate? What if I only need to lose 5-10 pounds?

Whether you need to lose 5 or 150 pounds, we can help you reach your weight loss goals. Our staff will develop a program that will help you lose weight and transition into a healthier lifestyle. We offer programs starting with a BMI of 21 and above.

  • 7. Will I be hungry on this program?

“Unlikely”. Many patients actually report reduced hunger and increased energy from our six meals per day program.

  • 8. I am on a variety of medications; can I still participate in the program?

We have found that very few medications negatively interact with the appetite suppressant on our program. When you come in for your consultation, the practitioner will thoroughly review your medical history and discuss it with you.

  • 9. I have diabetes; can I be on the program?

Yes. Our program can help you control your medical condition so that you can lead a healthier life.

  • 10. How often do I have to visit the clinic?

It differs depending on your current program. The program encourages you to visit your clinic on a weekly basis for FREE weigh-in, vitals, and body composition analysis. Our patients like to combine the analysis along with a weekly B12-Lipotropic Injection. Office visits for medication can be made every 28 days, and an appointment date and time is recommended. Once you have reached your weight loss goal, you can transition into our maintenance program.

  • 11. Can I participate in this program without the guidance of a medical professional?

Trying to lose weight on your own can be challenging. Many individuals find they need guidance and direction on their weight loss journey. Research has demonstrated that personal counseling can help people lose weight and keep it off. Patients are successful on our program because every patient is treated, motivated, and supported by our compassionate, trained medical professionals.

  • 12. I recently had my blood work done. Do I need to repeat the exams at my second office visit?

Blood work is required on or before your second office visit. Recent blood work by your Primary Care Physician is acceptable within the last ninety (90) days. For us to retrieve this information, you will be required to sign a release form during your initial visit. We offer the lab work service at our facility and this can be completed on your second office visit if needed.

  • 13. Do I have to sign a contract?

No. Patients never have to sign a contract.

  • 14. What type of food do I eat while on the program?

Our program is not based on prepackaged foods or quick fixes. Your nutrition will consist of real food that you can purchase at your local grocery store. We educate you on appropriate food choices, portion sizes, and timing of your meals.
